During my 41 years as a financial adviser to proprietors of owner-managed businesses, I observed that most owners need help to exit their businesses on the best possible terms. Since selling the largest part of my own consulting practice, which had 50 associates in New Zealand and Australia, I have used my experience and research to develop an exit planning model to assist other business owners.
